Growing up I was always creative. I'd be in class after getting my work done just drawing in my notebook. Then as I grew up I always wanted to make a certain type of art and now I've found that art in making clothes. The name of came from my dad calling me "A Smooth" all the time and at first I didn't like it, then as I got older my older brothers started calling me "A Smooth" which then as they kept saying it most of my closest friends would call "A Smooth". So then I just became "A Smooth." My friend group that has my closest friends which are like family to me now is called "Smooth Operators," and as we started to call ourselves that, a lot of the people that knew us or knew of us started to call us the "Smooth Operators" when we would come around. So then came the clothing brand "Smooth Apparel" which is my art. So when you wear Smooth you've become a part of a long legacy joining together family and friends
